"Business Sense" Virtual assistance To get ready for school, Robin Lorensen needs only to fill her coffee cup and put on her favorite pair of slippers. In the virtual classroom that awaits Lorensen in her home office, the dress code is strictly casual. Her desk is incredibly clean. White binders stacked inside desk drawers are stuffed to the brim with notes and assignments from previous lessons. Her organization is a reflection of her excitement not only as a student, but as a woman opening her own business when most women her age would be fading into retirement. have personally worked with Robin for almost 10 years prior to her
departure from IBM. Serving as my assistant, Robin was invaluable in
managing the overall administrative services needed to support a 70 person
technical software development staff responsible for delivering IT
solutions to a variety of internal and external IBM customers.
I
have known Robin Lorensen for ten years and have been associated with
Robin as a colleague. From our first meeting I was impressed with Robin's
professionalism and expertise and, over time, my respect for her abilities
has only increased. Robin is a highly skilled administrative practitioner
who is able to develop a strong rapport with clients and consistently
works to the highest level to meet client needs and demands.
